FittedCV is a browser extension. This page covers what it does with your data, what this website (fittedcv.com) does, and what neither of them ever does. If anything here is unclear, contact us and ask.
Your profile (work history, skills, education, job preferences) and your Claude API key are
stored only in your browser's local extension storage
(chrome.storage.local). Nothing is copied to a FittedCV server, because there
isn't one — the extension has no backend of its own. Uninstalling the extension, or clearing
its storage, removes this data completely.
The only outside network calls FittedCV makes are directly from your browser to Anthropic's
API (api.anthropic.com), using your own API key, and only when you take an
action that needs it: running a fit evaluation, generating a tailored resume or cover
letter, using an AI-assist option on a form field, or importing a resume/LinkedIn export in
the Profile Builder. Each of those sends your profile and the relevant job posting text to
Anthropic to generate a response. That exchange is covered by
Anthropic's own privacy policy,
since FittedCV never sees or stores that traffic itself, it only relays it from your browser.
Filling out a job application is, by definition, filling out someone else's form: whatever you submit goes to that employer or job board the same way it would if you'd typed it yourself. FittedCV doesn't add any additional destination.
fittedcv.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts. The contact page is a plain email link: nothing you type there is submitted to a server anywhere.
The Profile Builder's Import & Backup section lets you export your full profile as a JSON file at any time, and re-import it later or on another machine. Removing the extension removes everything it stored.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
Reach out any time via the contact page.
